The Boys Varsity Basketball Team 9-Game Winning Streak Comes To An End

The boys varsity basketball team’s winning streak came to an end after losing to Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School, 58-55. The season started on a winning streak with a total of 9 wins against tough opponents. Their current streak is up to 14 wins. Though the game was extremely close and both teams played really hard, B-CC managed to pull through with the win. It was an intense and surprising game. The 5 starters are:

Senior, #3 Mandela Tarke

Junior, #5 Peter Mangan

Junior, #15 Dillon Dunathan

Junior, #20 Connor Shiflett

Junior, #44 Joey Lutz

#5 Peter Mangan, started and scored the highest amount of points, with a total of 20 pts in 27 minutes.

#44 Joey Lutz, started and scored a total of 8 points, and played the longest with a total of 28 minutes.

#3 Mandela Tarke started and scored a total of 4 points in 11 minutes with 2 steals.  

#33 Ryan Gagen, scored a total of 6 points in 19 minutes.

#11 Michael Baskerville, scored a total of 3 points in 20 minutes.

#20 Conor Shiflett, started and scored a total of 14 points in 25 minutes with 3 steals.

#1 Tre Mitchell with 3 minutes & 2 assists. 

Though they didn’t win, the boys played really well and are continuing to play well on their journey to the playoffs, with a current record of 11 wins and 1 loss. Good Luck to the boys!!
