Annie Ryan, Entertainment Editor

A brother, father, husband, comedian and actor. Many know the bright smile of Bob Saget from his role as Danny Tanner on “Full House.” According to multiple sources, the 90’s sitcom star has passed away at the age of 65.

Recently, Saget has been touring the country on his “I Don’t Do Negative Tour,” which he started this past September. The tour, which was supposed to take him through May, has come to an abrupt end. Saget was pronounced dead in his room in the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, Fla. on the afternoon of Jan. 9, according to Orange County Sheriff’s Office. “Earlier today, deputies were called to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes for a call about an unresponsive man in a hotel room. The man was identified as Robert Saget & pronounced deceased on scene. Detectives found no signs of foul play or drug use in this case,” the Tweet read.

In addition to “Full House,” Saget spent most of the ’90s as host of “America’s Funniest Home Videos.” In 2016 Saget reprised his role as Danny Tanner for “Fuller House,” the sequel to the original 1987-1995 series. The sequel ran until its fifth season ended in 2020. In 2014, Saget was also nominated for Best Comedy Album with “That’s What I’m Talkin’ About.”

Saget leaves behind his wife Kelly and three daughters. He will be missed among many, including his co-stars, family members, and everyone who he made laugh endlessly throughout his career.
