On Dec. 12, 2025, was the annual winter pep rally was held in the Damascus High School gymnasium.
The show began with the marching band walking down the halls to loud music, announcing the start of the pep rally. A couple of minutes later, the whole school went down to the gym and was greeted by that same energy and enthusiasm.
Multiple groups took to the dance floor, including the majorettes, the poms team, the cheerleaders, the Latin dance club, and the color guard.
Then, the SGA announced the sports captains for winter sports, and shortly after, the games began. There were multiple games that students could participate in, some examples like wig snatching, around the world (even though the basketball team thought it was unfair for them not to be able to play, for obvious reasons).
Johan Campos, sophomore and member of the Latin dance club, when asked about how he felt about performing in front of the school, he said that “I felt kinda embarrassed, but it was fun.”
As the pep rally performance came to an end, the marching band started playing again. Students smiled and chatted about their favorite moments while gathering their things, and they made their way back to their third period classrooms.
